The Surveys are really interesting. There is a one done recently by American Express (AE) because it backed up some data at the NAFE National Conference in May. According to it, about 40% of the smallest business owners, those with less than $250,000 in revenues annually, are not planning to any vacation this summer. But also business owners with bigger revenues aren't doing much better - only about 74% of them expect to get away from the business this summer.
As it was mentioned at the NAFE Conference, even those business owners who get away from the office, won't truly go far. Fairly, one in three will link his trip time to a business vacation and 60% will still check in with the business at least twice a day.
